CARA's Community Journal October 27, 1999 CARA Secures City Funding CARA is excited to announce that it will receive funding from the City of Seattle Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Prevention Office. CARA will receive $25,000 for the remainder of 1999, and approximately $225,000 for 2000. In addition to this funding from the city, we will also initiate a fundraising campaign that may include private donations and special events. With funding secured, we are ready to find space, begin the hiring process and get other key work off the ground. And we need volunteer support to do it. Below, you’ll find information about newly-formed committees, along with contact information. Please review this list and let us know if you can help out in any area. Until we secure office space, all meetings are held at the Good Shepherd Center in Wallingford - 4649 Sunnyside Avenue North, Room 221.
