If you've been assaulted

Talk to someone you trust. It's helpful to not be alone.

Take care of yourself. Get medical attention. If you want to prosecute the attacker, do not shower first.

Stay safe. Report the attack to the police, if you feel comfortable doing so. Make a safety plan with friends and family.

Get support. Consider counseling and support groups along with support from your community.

Do not blame yourself. Rape can happen to anyone and is the result of the perpetrator's actions.
